Petri Arvo (*1982) began his professional studies in 1997 in Helsinki at the Sibelius Academy youth department with Rabbe Forsman and Jari S. Puhakka, after which he continued as a degree student in the early music department in 2003 and graduated in the master program in 2009. He now continues further study at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with Paul Leenhouts and Jorge Isaac.

In addition to The Royal Wind Music, Petri performs regularly with the ensembles; Musica Curiosa Helsinki, Un'altra ondata and Harmoniset Oikut. Beside baroque repertoire, the latter ensemble concentrates on working with the new generation of Finnish composers and performing contemporary theatrical material with period instruments and voice. Petri is also interested in combining contemporary electronic music to modern dance and theater.
