Review of the album The Flute-Heaven of the Gods:

Whoever imagines hell to be the sound of thirteen recorders together should listen right away to the beautiful playing of The Royal Wind Music. The latest CD of the ensemble by the label Lindoro once again brings great delight to the ear. The album has the appealing title "The Flute-Heaven of the Gods", and features polyphonic settings of melodies that were used by Jonker Jacob van Eyck. This 17th century blind carillonneur from Utrecht played the recorder at the Janskerkhof in the summer, improvising on the most popular tunes of his time. The Royal Wind Music presents an attractive selection of music from Sweelinck to J.S. Bach. Intonation is impeccable and the optimal acoustics contribute to a rich sound.
